Dating tips

1. play hard
The dumbest thing you can do when asking someone out is to play hard to get. If you have decided that you want to date the person, go for it. The person will not like you more because you are difficult, the chances are that they will lose interest completely.

2. Suggest a date with your family
As great as mom and dad are, it’s never a good idea to have a first date with mom and dad. It is better to keep it up until you are more serious.

3. have a friend do it for you
Even if it is your best friend’s friend that you want to date, you should always ask yourself. You will be perceived as much more confident and attractive.

4. Being nervous and unclear
It’s natural to be nervous about asking someone out, but try to push that feeling away. The worst that can happen is that the person says no and then it is their loss! So calm your nerves and be clear about what you want. Everyone loves a confident person!

5. Skip the pick-up lines
Although pick-up lines get a lot of laughs, they almost never work. “I hope you know CPR, because when I see you, I lose my breath!”. No thanks.

6. Organize a big spectacle
While it’s cute and romantic to stand outside someone’s window with a stereo playing romantic songs, it’s probably a step too far.

7. suggest an activity that the other person just likes
It can often feel easier to ask someone out on a specific date. But try to choose an activity you will both enjoy, otherwise you will probably end up feeling uncomfortable and not being yourself.

8. don’t think too much
There are many different rights and wrongs when it comes to asking someone out, but you know best. Trust your gut feeling and just do it. As we said before, the worst that can happen is that you get a no, and that’s not the end of the world.
